Using our HUDWAY Drive thermal night vision camera, you can drive safely at night or in poor weather conditions.
Please note that HUDWAY Drive heads-up display is not included in the Night Vision Camera Set and needs to be purchased separately.
What's in the box
HUDWAY Drive thermal night vision camera comes equipped with:
Night vision camera
Mounting bracket with 4 removable magnets
ECU block (recognition block)
M4 x 6 mm screws
4.2 x 20 mm screws
M5 x 18 mm screws + nuts
Connection cable
IMPORTANT! Please note that the ECU block is not waterproof and needs to be mounted in a dry place safe from mud — say, in the passenger compartment, under a seat or in the trunk, just like the video selector — and just like the video selector it can be mounted using screws, 3M adhesive, or Dual Lock.
There are two installation options we suggest: permanent (behind a radiator grille) and temporary (on the roof using magnet attachments).
Permanent installation
Raise the hood and dismount the radiator grille
Unscrew the magnets from the bracket bottom
Mount the metal bracket onto the radiator support using 4 enclosed screws
Mount the camera on the bracket using 4 enclosed M4 screws
Route the infrared camera cable into the vehicle interior using enclosed ties
To connect the camera to the video output source, plug the enclosed cable ends as directed below
Mount the radiator grille back in its place
In this video you can see the installation process for the BMW 3er E46:
Temporary installation
Select where on the roof you prefer to locate the camera
Loosen the mounting screws to adjust the tilt angle of the camera and then make sure to tighten them back
Make sure all the magnet screws are tightened as well
Place the camera on the roof and route the infrared camera cable into the vehicle interior using clamps (the clamps are included)
Use the enclosed cable to connect the camera
